National Breast Cancer Month - Pink Ribbon Month

Since 1992, the pink ribbon has become the universal symbol of breast cancer, illustrating the cause, raising awareness and bringing women together in solidarity. This little piece of pink ribbon, it's a symbol to show our support for people who are battling with breast cancer and our hope for a brighter future! 

Quick Facts About Breast Cancer:

1. The leading risk factor for breast cancer is simply being a woman. Though breast cancer does occur in men, the disease is 100 times more common in women.
2. A woman has about a 1 in 8 chance of being diagnosed with breast cancer in her lifetime, according to the National Cancer Institute.
3. Most women (about eight out of 10) who get breast cancer do not have a family history of the disease.
4. Thanks to new treatments and early detection, the five-year relative survival rate for women with breast cancer is about 90 percent.
5. As you age, your risk of breast cancer goes up — most breast cancers are found in women age 55 and older.
